AMY SPENCER BARBER

Throughout their day to day life, individuals encounter locations they identify through their
visual observations. This work intends to dispel the notion of identity when observing a
location. In doing so, the aim of this project is to generate deeper thoughts into one’s
environment and the overall idea of knowing ‘Where’ one may be. Through viewing the
work one begins to question location, thus providing a sense of uncertainty encapsulated
within the images. The project shows how individuals rely on any sign, whether it be
through text or object to display the location, the work created beings to propose the idea
of what one begins to question when this is removed.
