Glass Ceilings

 

Celeste’s work uses Botanic Gardens and plants as a visual metaphor for colonialism and the lasting impacts of empire. Through research into the way that these spaces are being used today and the history of these institutions the work explores how two eras of ‘enlightenment’ merge.
