The work of Sydnie Reynolds is a depiction of an expression of affection to the film industry. Initially inspired by the movie franchise “Blade Runner” and the work of Gregory Crewdson, the work is a compilation of all of the elements that create an unforgettable movie into a series of still images. This tribute to the works of the movie industry also draws ideas from American realist painters such as Edward Hopper and contemporary examples of visually stunning Cinema. The end result embraces ideas of mystery and intrigue as each image becomes its own self-contained narrative.
